Its unique design allows the arena and nest to be combined on a single surface, significantly reducing the required space for breeding. The 10×8 cm 3D printed nest is located in one of the walls of the arena (10×8 cm), making the whole structure not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.

One of the key differences between the Compact M and the Combo M model is the lack of an irrigation system. This makes this formicarium dedicated to species that do not require particularly high nest humidity, such as Messor barbarus or Camponotus herculeanus.
